Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his interest in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial major achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would definitely think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
