I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
